STRATIS Hosted Singapore Government’s SPRING Singapore Group
Last week, Philadelphia’s IoT leaders STRATIS and BuLogics hosted an international group of business leaders visiting from Singapore. The Singapore government’s SPRING Singapore group visit was organized by the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania’s executive education division. The group led by Deputy Chief Executive, Ted Tan, represented nineteen businesses based in Singapore. Representatives traveled to the United States to learn about successful companies and corporate culture. The group had the opportunity to visit any of Philadelphia’s top businesses and SPRING Singapore specifically requested a visit to the STRATIS office.
According to their website, “SPRING Singapore is an agency under the Ministry of Trade and Industry responsible for helping Singapore enterprises grow and building trust in Singapore products and services. As the enterprise development agency, SPRING works with partners to help enterprises in financing, capability and management development, technology and innovation, and access to markets. As the national standards and accreditation body, SPRING develops and promotes an internationally-recognized standards and quality assurance infrastructure. SPRING also oversees the safety of general consumer goods in Singapore.”

CoFounders of STRATIS, Felicite Moorman and Ryan Buchert spoke to the crowd. Moorman spoke about STRATIS’ success in the U.S. and Japan and how company has managed to scale in a short period of time. Buchert, CTO spoke about the culture at both companies (STRATIS and BuLogics) and what he looks for when hiring and how to scale a business.
