A Tale of Two Apps: STRATIS Management App and Mobile App

Consumers are increasingly experiencing app fatigue, and becoming tired of the digital clutter of creating a password-protected account for each app they download. Within the smart apartment, individual smart devices often come with their own separate app and account to control it. This can feel like a drag for somebody who engages with multiple smart devices (and their linked apps and accounts) each day, in addition to the other apps for social media, entertainment, education, and more.

Many buildings provide multiple access credentials, like keys, smart keys (programmed physical tokens or fobs that allow specific Property Staff or Residents to access specific areas), and/or mobile keys (smartphone with app installed to use as a smart key) to access these areas. That can be a hassle to keep track of, as well as a security concern if somebody loses any of their access credentials. In addition, adding Visitors and Vendors to the population of people entering and leaving the property increases the possibility of security concerns, confusion, and hassle.

The STRATIS Smart Building platform empowers Property Staff and Residents to have Sidewalk to Sofa™ property-wide access and move freely across the property, from outside, all the way into the unit. Both Management and Mobile Apps authorize granting seamless access for Visitors, so they can only enter certain access points and reach their destinations effortlessly, without somebody having to manually open doors for them.

The Management App for Property Staff

The Management App is the all-in-one-platform for Property Staff with Smart Access, so they can create and manage keys with greater ease and cybersecurity. Property Staff can slash as much as 99% of time spent on key management and creation. They can also create maintenance keys, which are temporary smart or mobile keys that are set to expire at a specific date and time. Maintenance Staff and third-party Vendors can access certain units or areas that require upkeep, for only the time needed for the job. With simple Visitor access, Property Staff can extend self-touring to prospective Residents, so that they can take a look at the apartment on their own time.

The Mobile App for Residents

The Mobile App enables Residents to have Sidewalk to Sofa™ access, so they can rely on one access credential for all of the property's access points. This is a seamless experience without having to deal with the clunky and stressful juggling of multiple access credentials. If they want to give temporary access into the unit or building to a Visitor, like a dog walker, baby sitter, caregiver, or friend, the Resident can text a mobile key. This eliminates security concerns around somebody having a copied key and having access to areas they don't need to be in.
